Meek, Pauline E. Pauline Polly E. Meek, age 92 of Fremont , passed away Sunday, June 15, 2003 at her home. Polly was born on January 6, 1911 in Coshocton , Ohio to Clifford R. and Ada L. (Slate) McComber and married Harry Meek on November 10, 1951 in Coshocton , Ohio . Harry preceded her in death on June 28, 1997 . She graduated from Coshocton High School and had worked as the office manager for the Carnation Milk Plant in Coshocton. She moved to Fremont in 1954 where she was a secretary at the Gerber Products Company until her retirement. She was a member of the Magnolia Chapter O.E.S where she served 3 terms as Worthy Matron and was currently a member of the Unity #61 O.E.S. She was a member of the Fremont Christian Church, Disciples of Christ Church in Fremont and was well known for her annual neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt at her home she conducted for over 30 years and sharing her flowers with her neighbors. She is survived by her step son, Harry R. Dick Meek of Columbus , Ohio ; 2 step grandchildren, Michele Cochran of Hilliard , Ohio ; Harry R. Meek II of Marysville, Ohio; 3 step great grandchildren; 3 grandchildren, Jeff Zerbe, Susan Cromwell, Cindy Morgan all of Ohio; 6 grandchildren;her sister, Ellen L. Bunny (Nicholas) Boring of Indianapolis, Indiana; her brother, Paul (Colleen) McComber of Finley, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Meek on June 28, 1997 ; her son, William Zerbe; a step grandson; 3 sisters; and 4 brothers. Funeral memorial services were held on Saturday, June 28, 2003 at 11:00am from the Fremont Christian Church, Disciples of Christ Church in Fremont with Rev. David Dickinson and Pastor Nick Boring presiding with interment in Ohio . Friends are requested to not send flowers, but consider Hospice of Michigan, Newaygo County or Fremont Christian Church, Disciples of Christ for memorial contributions in her memory.
