Pearl May Ferrier, age 78 of Bitely and White Cloud, passed away Friday, November 21, 2014 at the St. Marys Hospital in Grand Rapids. Pearl was born on July 19, 1936 in Dowagiac, Michigan to James and Iva (McCleary) Ibbotson and later married Robert Ferrier on January 7, 1982 in Eau Claire, Michigan. Robert preceded her in death on December 16, 2011. Pearl moved to the Bitely area in 1985 from Dowagiac and had been a homemaker. Pearl enjoyed playing bingo, playing cards and board games, doing crafts and making blankets and quilts, taking pictures, she loved her dogs and cats and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Pearl is survived by her children, Robert (Julie) Dayhuff of Indianapolis, Indiana; Louis (Tammy) Dayhuff of Grand Rapids; Melvin Dayhuff of Decatur; Dan Dayhuff of Grand Rapids; Vicki Dayhuff of Dowagiac; Kelly Ferrier of Dowagiac; Barbara Dayhuff; several grandchildren including Ben Dayhuff, Matt Dayhuff, Nicholas, Dayhuff and Mitchell Dayhuff; her sisters and brothers, Marion Glaser of Cassopolis; Thomas Ibbotson of Dowagiac; Betty Benjamin of Cassopolis; Barbara Watson of Vine Grove, Kentucky; Janette Ferrier of Allegan, Michigan; James Ibbotson of Decatur; several friends at Transitional Health Services; her caregiver, Lorita Fernanders of White Cloud; special friends and card playing partners, Joyce and Elliott Stewart of Muskegon. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bert Ibbotson and by her sister, Hannah Abiney. VISITATION : Monday, November 24, 2014 from 5-6pm at Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with FUNERAL SERVICES Monday at 6pm at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. INTERMENT : Troy Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Transitional Health Services Patient Fund.
