Penny Lynn Kosla, age 67 of White Cloud, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at her daughter's home in Twin Lake on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Penny was born on October 23, 1956 in Shelby to Henry Franklin and Irene Grace (Schneider) Hall and later married Edward M. Kosla on October 19, 1973 in White Cloud. Edward preceded her in death on October 26, 2015. Penny has been a longtime resident of the White Cloud area where she had worked in the food service department at the White Cloud Public Schools and retired from the high school kitchen. Penny enjoyed hunting, bird watching, and gardening but especially treasured spending time with her grandchildren and being a grandma.
Penny is survived by her daughters, Charlotte (Alex) Hoyhtya of Twin Lake; Amanda Hutson of White Cloud; her grandchildren, Sabrina (Kyle) Fahrlander; Nathan Hoyhtya; Madelline Hutson; Aurora Hutson-Riedinger; her great grandson, Chance Fahrlander; her significant other, Bruce Clary of White Cloud; her brothers, Perry (Susan) Hall of Hesperia; Frederick Hall of Rothbury; sisters-in-laws, Helen (Robert) Windver; Josie (Mike) Detmers; June Kosla; many nieces and nephews. Penny was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Kosla and by her parents, Henry and Irene Hall.
A time of Remembrance and Celebration will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 from 12:00 p. - 2:00 p.m. at the Hesperia American Legion 4075 S. 198th Street Hesperia MI 49421.
