Peter M. La Vigne, age 69 of Holton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 18, 2016. Peter was born on September 28, 1947 in West Brook, Maine to Robert and Evelyn (Harnois) La Vigne and later moved to the Muskegon area. Peter graduated from Mona Shores High School in 1967 and soon joined the United States Army where he served during the Vietnam War. Pete became a supervisor at the SD Warren Paper Mill in Muskegon until his retirement in 2008. Pete enjoyed hunting, shooting, woodworking, riding atv's in the woods but especially enjoyed the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.

Pete is survived by his children, John La Vigne of Fremont; Jennifer La Vigne of Fremont; his grandchildren, Alexia La Vigne, Austin La Vigne, Andrea La Vigne, Ella La Vigne, and Evelyn La Vigne; his sister, Ann Waters of West Brook, Maine; several nieces and nephews. Pete was preceded in death by his brother, Robert La Vigne.

VISITATION : Friday, December 30, 2016 from 12-2pm at Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel 7193 W 48th Street Fremont MI 49412 with CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICES on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 2pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel with MILITARY RITES starting at 2pm. INTERMENT : West Brook, Maine. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Bellwether Harbor 7645 W 48th Street Fremont MI 49412 or to the Pete La Vigne Family to assist with expenses.
