Peter Samuel VanBoxel, 79, of White Cloud, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2026.

Pete was born August 30, 1946, the son of Peter A and Roberta VanBoxel. He married Kathleen Truax on June 24, 1968. Pete worked repairing sewing machines with his family his entire working career. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was often called the child whisperer. He was a loving, helpful, fun, generous man who will be deeply missed.

Peter is survived by: his wife, Kathy; son, Peter (Julie) Jr.; grandchildren, Dylan, Peter III, and Joseph; great-grandchildren, Peter IV, an Amiyaha; sister, Katie (John) Hammond; sister-in-law, Loy; brothers-in-law, Lyle and Joe; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Big Prairie-Everett Cemetery.
