Philip Fredrick Loppicclo, age 90, of Newaygo passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016, at his home. Philip was born on April 15, 1926, in Grand Rapids, and married Mildred Marie Evan on January 12, 1945, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Philip had worked for General Motors, retiring in 1982 from the Grand Rapids plant. Philip was a member of the Morley American Legion Post #554 and proudly served his Country in the United States Navy during WWII. Philip is survived by daughter, JoAnn (James) Seul of Naperville, Illinois; grandchildren, Stephanie (Raymond) Tuliglowski, Jeanine (Eric) Decker, and Aaron (Brandy) Seul; great grandchildren, Breyton, Ryan, Nicholas, Sophia, Brennon, and Stevie; brother Tony (Pearl) Loppicclo of Wyoming, Michigan; and special friends, Gus, Mary Jo, and Beverly. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred; sisters, Grace Miles, Joanne Schell, and Edna Lierman. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for Philip at 11 AM, on Monday, October 3, 2016, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Newaygo with Rev. Father Luis F. Garcia officiating. There will be visitation at the Church 2 hours prior to the Mass (9-11AM). Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Grand Rapids.
