Phyllis Jean Deuling, age 76, of Fremont, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2012, at her home. Phyllis was born on May 3, 1936, in Fremont to George and Elizabeth (Allen) Zuwerink. She received her Masters Degree at Ferris State University and had been a Medical Clerk at Transitional Health Services. Phyllis enjoyed reading, crosswords, knitting, and attended the Fremont Wesleyan Church. Phyllis is survived by her children, Cindy Buitendorp of Cedar Springs, Bruce (Deb) Deuling of Fremont, and Tony (Kristen) Deuling of Fremont; 8 grandchildren; brothers and sister, Renard Ren (Mary) Zuwerink of North Carolina, Dave (Sue) Zuwerink of Holton, Betty Anne (Bob) Anderson of Big Rapids, and George (Sally) Zuwerink of Fremont; brother in law, Terry McClain of Fremont; and many nieces and nephews . She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Osborn in 1994, and brother and sister, Ron Zuwerink and Nancy McClain. Memorial services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at the Fremont Wesleyan Church. For a more lasting memorial, friends are asked to consider Heartland Hospice.
