Murphy, Phyllis Phyllis Mae Murphy, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2006 at her home. Phyllis was born on May 9, 1939 in Baldwin to Lester and Laura (Nelson) Crysler and married Donald Murphy on May 21, 1955 in Baldwin. Donald preceded her in death in 1987. Phyllis has been a longtime resident of the White Cloud area where she had been a senior companion in the Foster Grandparents program, enjoyed crafts, surfing the internet, fishing, hunting, and mushroom hunting. She is survived by her children, Lori Murphy of Fremont; Teri Murphy of White Cloud; Jami Murphy of White Cloud; Sheli Murphy of Fremont; Hope (Dan) Maike of Arvana, Colorado; her grandchildren, Brandy Carter; April Ressler; Ken McKellar; Adam McKellar; Jason Alan Murphy; Janet Rose Murphy; Andrea Parrish; Kendra Parrish; Murphy Parrish; Mitch Parrish; Daniel Maike; Jeffrey Maike; Martin Will Totten; her great grandchildren, Kayla Ressler and Daniel Ressler; her sister, Marjorie Workman of Chicago, Illinois. Following her wishes cremation has taken place with a memorial service being held at the White Cloud Eagles. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan next to her husband, Donald.
