Phyllis C. Tatrow, age 80 of Fremont, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 14, 2021. Phyllis was born on April 15, 1941 in Newaygo to John and Lenora (Pederson) Swanson and graduated from Muskegon High School. Phyllis later received her LPN Degree and worked at the Mercy Hospital Emergency Room in Muskegon for 40 years until her retirement. Phyllis married Gail Tatrow on November 3, 1962 in Muskegon and they moved to their family farm in 1970 from Muskegon. Phyllis enjoyed participating in 4H, farming, cake decorating, camping, reading, watching the Hallmark Channel and tv shopping but especially treasured the time she spent with her family. Phyllis is survived by her husband of 59 years, Gail of Fremont; her son, Paul (Jill) Tatrow of Fremont; daughter-in-law, Lynn Tatrow of Wayland; her grandchildren, Andrew Tatrow of Fruitport; Nichole (Norm) Greene of Sparta; DeKota Tatrow of Allegan; Jessica Lambright of Wyoming, MI; Megan (Jerry) Gonzalez of Bailey; Matt Nelson of Fremont; 11 great grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Lucy Swanson of Honor, Michigan. Phyllis was preceded in death by her son, Scott Tatrow in 2012 and her brother, Fred Swanson. Private Family Celebration of Life Services will be held at the family home in Fremont following her wishes for cremation.
