Ralph E. Smith, age 74, of Newaygo passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at his home. Ralph was born on January 2, 1941, in Big Rapids to LaVerne Oscar and Marie Gladys (Fisher) Smith and married Christina ONeil on November 12, 2004. Ralph had worked at Keebler in Grand Rapids for over 30 years. Ralph is survived by his loving wife Chris; children, Susan (Frank) Sherrod of Wyoming, Cheryl (Doug) Jones of Newaygo, Kathy (Steve) Hamilton of Caledonia, Ralph (Sheila) Smith of Jamestown, Melanie (Brooks) Lesert of Middleville; step-children, Michael (Jennifer) Kamptner of Big Rapids and Troy (Rishelle) Kamptner of Newaygo; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald (Lois) Smith of Muskegon; and many nieces and nephews.
