Randall Lewis Sams, age 43, of Fremont and formerly of Reed City, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2001 in Texas. He was born on May 15, 1958 in Canton, Ohio to Lewis Edward and Kathleen (Carver) Sams and married Polly Hinton on January 13, 1989 in Muskegon. He had been a Deputy Sheriffs Officer in Stark County, Ohio; an Emergency Medical Technician; and was a veteran of the United States Army where he had served in the Military Police at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He is survived by loving wife, Polly of Fremont; children, Kyle Lewis, Brittany Leigh, Kathleen Ellen, and Hayley Marie, all at home; sister, Sherry (Scott) German of Texas; brothers, Edward (Patty) Sams of Uniontown, Ohio and Greg (Sandy) Sams of Canton, Ohio; and several nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his father Lewis Sams and mother Kathleen Lewis. Funeral services were held on Friday, October 19, 2001 from the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont with Rev. John Herrick presiding with interment in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may consider the Randall Sams Family for memorial contributions.
