Randell E. Randy Green, age 45 of Newaygo, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at his home. Randy was born on May 28, 1965 in Big Rapids to Richard E. and Ruth E. (Hodges) Green. Randy graduated from Kingsley High School in 1983 and shortly after graduation, joined the United States Air Force. Randy returned to Michigan and started his career at the Kent County Sheriffs Department in the corrections division in 1990 until his passing. Randy has been a resident of the Newaygo area since 1989 and was an avid Green Bay Packers Fan, enjoyed bow hunting in the Upper Peninsula, trout fishing trips with his family, and had enjoyed snowmobiling. Randys true love though, was for his son, Hunter his little bud Randy is survived by his son, Hunter Green of Newaygo; his mother, Ruth Green of Kingsley, Michigan; his father, Richard (Carlotta) Green of Lake City; special friend, Patti Bailey and her daughter, Alisha of Newaygo; his grandmother, Jean Hodges of White Cloud; brother, Richard Green of Kingsley; his sisters, Raquel (Robert) Paulus of Kingsley; Ryanne (Darrell) Ockert of Ionia; nieces and nephews, Cassandra Green, Derek Bosley, Lauren Ockert, Caleb Ockert. VISITATION : Monday, May 9, 2011 from 12-2pm at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Monday, May 9, 2011 at 2pm at the funeral home.
