Randy Joe Johnson, age 69 of Holton, formerly of Los Angeles California and Galena, Missouri, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022 at his home in Holton. Randy was born on February 7, 1953 in Fremont to Homer and Alice I. (Ransom) Johnson and moved to California at the age of 17. Randy started his own business, Gold Carriage Tour and Travel, a travel bus and limousine business which he owned and operated for many years. He later moved to Galena, Missouri where he became an over the road truck driver for many years and upon retirement, returned to his home in Holton in 2013. Randy truly enjoyed driving truck and traveling across the United States, enjoyed working on cars and riding motorcycles, collecting western memorabilia, but family was always first to Randy throughout his lifetime. Randy is survived by his wife, Patricia Y. Johnson of Galena, Missouri; his children, Patty Jo (Thomas) McCullogh of Galena, Missouri; Penny (David) Perez of Reeds Spring, Missouri; Randy Scott Johnson of Galena, Missouri; his grandchildren, Alisha, Andrew, Amber, TJ, Travis, Isaac, Hanna, Brooklyn, Taylor, Matthew and Samuel; 10 great grandchildren; his brothers, Homer Johnson of Holton; Rex Johnson of Twin Lake; Luke Johnson of Cedar Springs; his sister, Brenda Miller of Muskegon; his nephew, Floyd Johnson who was taking care of Randy; several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Johnson and Alice Johnson-Carrp; his brother, Robert Johnson; his sisters, Candice Applegate and Ruth Johnson; his niece, Rachel Johnson.
