Raymond "Ray" Clark Mills, age 79, of Fremont passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023, at Regency at Fremont. Ray was born on March 9, 1943, in Muskegon to Lloyd Robert and Mary Katherine (Fell) Mills and later married Charlene Balcom. Ray had many jobs throughout his life including working on oil rigs in Oklahoma and driving trucks for a cement company. Ray proudly served his country as a United States Marine during the Vietnam Conflict and enjoyed puzzles, going for drives, and going out to eat. Ray also drove racecars, competing at Thunderbird Raceway and Whiskey Ridge Raceway. Ray is survived by his sister and bothers, Shirley Marilyn Mullins of White Cloud, Bill E. Mills of White Cloud, and Paul Jay Mills of Indiana. Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene; and brothers, Charles Duane Mills, Richard Henry Mills, Donald John Mills, and Robert Lloyd Mills.
