Raymond B. Eaton, age 61 of White Cloud, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 28, 2008 near his home. Ray was born on May 30, 1947 to Peter Raymond and Cleo B. (Bidelman) Eaton in Grant and soon joined the United States Navy. Ray served in the United States Navy for over 23 years stationed at various Naval Bases throughout the United States and overseas for 17 years. Ray met and later married Connie Cabudoc on January 23, 1967 in Manila, Philippines. Ray and Connie moved to White Cloud in 1986 where they owned and operated Ray & Connies Eaton House for several years. Ray was currently a rural mail carrier from the White Cloud Post office. Ray was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing his guitar daily and singing. He is survived by his wife, Connie; his children, Mary Evelyn (Dain) Haines of White Cloud; Evangeline Eaton (fianc, Rip) of Lansing; Rose (Christopher) Keyes of Ypsilanti; Ray Eaton Jr. of White Cloud; Genielyn Eaton of White Cloud; Sam (Jaime) Rachol of White Cloud; Cindy Rachol of Lansing; 14 grandchildren; his sisters, Marsha Goins of White Cloud; Cindy (Scott) Fuller of Fremont; his brother, Peter Duane (Maria) Eaton of Colorado Springs, Colorado; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cleo Eaton on February 10, 2007 and by his father, Peter Raymond Eaton in 1973. VISITATION : Saturday from 6-8 at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Saturday at 8pm at the funeral home. MILITARY GRAVESIDE SERVICES : a time of visitation and graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 from 10:30 11am at the Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery.
