Raymond Nordene Kemmerling, 95, passed away April 2, 2026.

Ray was born March 2, 1931, the son of Doris and Daniel Kemmerling. He worked as the township supervisor for Ashland township for over 30 years. Ray was a hardworking, dedicated, kind man who will be deeply missed.

Ray is survived by: his daughter, Jeannie (Terry) Kline; grandchildren, Leanne Samuel, and Jason Anderson; great-grandchildren, Jordan (Alex) DeRuiter, Zack Anderson, Tristen Perales, and Zoe Samuel; great-great-grandchildren, Remington Schwartz, and Michael DeRuiter; and long time friend, Bruce Tellcamp.

He was preceded in death by: his son, Leland Kemmerling; former wife, Audrey Kemmerling; parents; brother, Buddy Kemmerling; and sisters, Shirley Tibbits, and Carol Hills.

Cremation will take place and his remains will be buried at Newaygo Cemetery.
