Raymond Charles Thompson, age 81 of Hesperia, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020 at this home following a short illness. Raymond was born on April 18, 1939 in Fremont to Roy and Eva (Fairchild) Thompson and graduated from Hesperia High School. Ray met and married Laura Jean Booher on August 9, 1983 in Fremont. Ray had owned and operated his own Tool and Die Stamping Business for many years and then drove school bus for Hesperia Community Schools in his retirement. Ray enjoyed watching football and baseball; enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Laura of Hesperia; his children, Candace (H.J.) Flauaus of Grant; Peggy (Ken) Muckey of Hesperia; Raymond "Rock" (Marilyn) Thompson of Allendale; Michael (Kathy) Thompson of Twin Lake; Sharra (Troy) Cook of Hesperia; Terese Pless Brandt of Hesperia; 19 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kelsey Martin; his sisters and brothers, Mae Allen, Glora Lee Way, Leroy Thompson, Marvin Thompson.
MEMORIAL SERVICES : In the Spring of 2021 at the Countryside Bible Church in Hesperia. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in memory of Raymond.
