VanderPloeg, Rebecca "Becki" L. Rebecca Becki L. VanderPloeg, age 15 of White Cloud, passed away unexpectedly on Monday at her home. Becki was born on December 5, 1991 in Grand Rapids to David and Catherine (Brownell) VanderPloeg Sr. and was a sophomore at White Cloud High School where she had been active sports. Becki was very active in and served as an officer in the U.S. Navy Junior ROTC Program at White Cloud High School where she was the recipient of various awards for leadership and academics. Becki enjoyed fishing, hunting, skateboarding and she was also the State of Michigan recipient of the Sons of the American Revolution award in 2007. Becki is survived by her parents, David and Catherine VanderPloeg Sr. of White Cloud; sister, Susan VanderPloeg of Fremont; brother, David VanderPloeg Jr. of Grand Rapids; stepbrother, Ronald Witham of Fremont; maternal grandparents, Larry & Gaylene Brownell of Walker; great grandmother, Marian DeHaan of Jenison; her uncles, James (Jan) VanderPloeg of Wyoming; Gerald (Carolyn) Brownell of Gobles; her aunts, Cheryl Brownell of Farmington Hills; Lori (Larry) Wenglikowski of Grand Rapids; several cousins, nieces, and nephews; special friend, Allen Kenyon. Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at the White Cloud High School with Pastor Paul Feuestein of the New Life Assembly of God Church presiding with interment in the Plainfield Township Cemetery.
