Reginald Lee Westenfelder, age 92 of Fremont, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2001 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services. He was born on April 10, 1908 in Chicago Lawn, Illinois to Edward and Ida (Swanson) Westenfelder and married Winifred Fountain on January 9, 1942 in Fremont. He has been a longtime resident of the Fremont area where he had been a farmer and was a member of the Newaygo County Farm Bureau and Life Member of the American Guernsey Cattle Club. He is survived by his wife, Winnifred of Fremont; children, Laura (Tom) Davenport of Centerville, Georgia; Patty (Christopher) Tinnermon of Manassas, Virginia; David (Jean) Westenfelder of Fremont; 6 grandchildren, David (Marta) Westenfelder; Danielle (David) Mihelac; Reggie Davenport; Amy Davenport; Christopher Tinnermon; Michael Tinnermon; 3 great grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Sadie Westenfelder of Fremont; Alice Castle of Grand Rapids; Wanda (Dick) Helderop of Barryton, MI. He was preceded in death by one son, Jim Westenfelder. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 17, 2001 from the Crandell Funeral Home Chapel in Fremont with interment in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
