Rex D. Nadeau, age 72 of Fremont, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at his home following a short illness. Rex was born on August 15, 1938 in Edmore, Michigan to W.J. Doug and Violet (Baddis) Nadeau and has been a lifelong resident of the Fremont area. Rex married Diana Millis on June 28, 1986 in Fremont. Rex retired in 1995 from the Gerber Products Company as the manager of the Direct Mail and Supply Department after 38 years. Rex had enjoyed working in his yard, visiting with many friends in Fremont; had served on the Fremont Fire Department for 12 years and was a member of the Fremont Moose Lodge #1555. SURVIVORS : his wife, Diana of Fremont; children, Roxanne (Rodney) Hudson of Fremont; H. Douglas (Barbara) Nadeau of Grand Rapids; Robert Bobby Nadeau of Grand Rapids; Thomas (Jill) Boltz of Erin, Tennessee; Willy (Jackie Oosse) Boltz of Fremont; Deana Boltz of Fremont; 8 grandchildren, Morgan Hudson; Jared Hudson; Caleb Nadeau; Benjamin Nadeau; Nicholas Boltz; Dakota Pletcher; Colton Pletcher; Daytona Pletcher; his sisters and brother, Yvonne King of Muskegon; Jane Ann (Arnie) Rottman of Fremont; Van (Judy) Nadeau of Fremont; Vicki (Huey) Hendrix of Fremont; several sister-in-laws and brother-in laws and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, W.J. Doug and Violet; brothers, Max Nadeau on August 24, 2004 and Gary Nadeau on December 4, 2005. VISITATION : Friday, March 4, 2011 from 5-8pm at Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 1pm at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel.
