Smith, Rex Rex Smith, age 53 of White Cloud, formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at his home. Rex was born on June 23, 1952 in Cook County, Illinois to Clarence and Betty (Monschein) Smith and moved to the White Cloud area from Grand Rapids in 1990. Rex had been a parts technician at the Cummins Bridgeway Company in Grand Rapids for over 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and grilling out and especially enjoyed his time spent at the S & G Club Land near Woodville. Rex is survived by his mother, Betty Smith of White Cloud; his sisters and brother, Karen (Don) Smith of Ramsey, Michigan; Noma (Terry) Rabideau of Byron Center, Michigan; Lea Victory of Grand Rapids; Harry (Beth) Smith of Allendale; Vicky (Dave) Brunges of Pierson, Michigan; Lizabeth (Robert) Cook of Fort Pierce, Florida; 13 nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; several special friends. Memorial services were held on Friday, March 3, 2006 at the Newaygo VFW Sportsmans Post #4249 in Newaygo.
