Bushaw, Richard Gerald Richard Gerald Jerry Bushaw, age 78 of Fremont, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2003 at the Fountain View Retirement Village in Grant following a lingering illness. Jerry was born on April 5, 1925 in Hart, Michigan to Walter and Beulah (Culver) Bushaw and later married Frances E. Wing on September 2, 1964 in Baldwin . Frances preceded him in death on November 10, 1996 . He has been a lifelong resident of the area where he had been a plumber and retired from Tubergan Plumbing and then remained self employed for several years. He was affiliated with the Fremont Christian Church, Disciples of Christ; was a member of the Fremont Moose Lodge #1555; life member of the Holton American Legion, Cobb, Trygstad, Anderson Post #397; life member of the Newaygo V.F.W. Sportsmans Post #4249. He served in the United States Merchant Marine during World War II and the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his brother, Robert (Betty) Bushaw of Fremont; sister-in-law, Phyllis Bushaw of Fremont ; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Ted Bushaw. Richard Gerald has been cremated following his wishes with military graveside services held in the spring 2004 at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont .
