Richard L. Bean, age 71 of White Cloud, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2008 at his home. Richard was born on January 15, 1937 in East Tawas, Michigan to Victor and Beatrice (Holmes) Bean and at a young age, moved with his family to the Muskegon area where he graduated from Muskegon Catholic High School. Richard met and later married Norva Jorgensen on February 3, 1978 in Muskegon and Norva preceded him in death on October 27, 1995. Richard started work at the SD Warren Paper Company where he worked for 33 years until his retirement in 1994 as the printing department manager. Richard was a member of the Lakeside Eagles and White Cloud Eagles for over 30 years and was an avid outdoorsman. Richard also enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending the winter months in Florida. Richard is survived by his sons, Michael (Colleen) Bean of Wabash, Indiana; Larry (Pamela) Bean of Muskegon; Richard Bean Jr. of Muskegon; his companion, Nova Haines of White Cloud; step children, Carol Twining of Florida; Chris (Dennis) Green of Grand Rapids; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; his brother, Allen (Barb) Bean of Muskegon. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Burnham. VISITATION : Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008 from 11am 1pm at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Sunday at 1pm at the funeral home. INTERMENT : Lincoln Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Hospice of Michigan, Newaygo County.
