Bordeaux, Richard R. Richard R. Bordeaux, age 78 of Fremont, passed away Saturday at his sons home in Fremont. He was born on January 22, 1927 in Muskegon to Romuald Joseph and Irene Rosetta Mae (Smith) Bordeaux. Richard married Helen McVicker on February 3, 1945 and she preceded him in death in 2003. Richard has been a self employed carpenter for many years and was a member of the Local #100 Carpenters Union. He enjoyed fishing, traveling to Canada and was a former member of the Aerie Post #3666 in Fruitport and Fremont Moose Lodge #1555. He was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont. He is survived by his beloved companion, Donna Arsnoe of Muskegon; his children, Richard (Nancy) Bordeaux of Fremont; Rose (Scott) Sanders of Midland; Mary (Bill) Gardner of Sarcoxie, Missouri; Tereasa (Ray) Jones of Peck, Kansas; Irene (Robin) Shelby of Mulvane, Kansas; Christopher (Patricia) Bordeaux of Fremont; 19 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; his brothers, Thomas (Sharon) Bordeaux of Servierville, Tennessee; Leo Bordeaux of Muskegon; Robert (Diane) Bordeaux of Muskegon; Edwin (Bessie) Bordeaux of Tuscon, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents Romuald and Irene Bordeaux in 2003; by his sons, Michael and Joseph Bordeaux; and by his brother, Romuald J. Bordeaux Jr. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 from the All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont with Rev. Father Tony Russo presiding with interment in the Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Fremont. Friends are asked to consider the All Saints Catholic Church Parking Lot Fund for memorial contributions in memory of Richard.
