Richard C. Dick Francis, age 59 of Fremont, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the Heartland Nursing Center in Whitehall. Dick was born on September 2, 1954 in Albion, Michigan to William H. and Phyllis M. (Warren) Francis and graduated from Fremont High School in1972. Dick enjoyed hunting and walking in the woods with his best friend, Nate Kempf and Jesse the Wonderdog. He was a member of Fremont Moose Lodge #1555. Dick is survived by his son, Joshua (Amy) Francis of Oxford, Michigan; his grandchildren, Joshua Francis, Jr., Lauren, and Angela; his brothers, Tim (Belinda) Francis of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, Chris (Dana) Francis of Lowell; and sisters, Cynthia (Douglas) Bowman of Muskegon and Rebecca Francis of Columbia, Missouri, as well as several nieces and nephews. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, William and Phyllis as well as his sister, Charlotte. A time of remembrance and celebration will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 rom 11am 1pm at the Fremont Moose Lodge #1555.
