Richard D. Eichenberg, age 75 of White Cloud, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2008 at the Mercy Hospital in Muskegon following a short illness. Richard was born on October 2, 1932 in Hawkins, Michigan to Lester and Beatrice (Youngs) Eichenberg and met and later married Frances Yost on January 22, 1955 in Reed City. Richard and Frances moved to the White Cloud area in 1955 from Reed City. Richard worked at the Gerber Products Company in Fremont in the maintenance department as a plumber for 42 years until his retirement in 1992. Richard was an antique tractor collector and builder and enjoyed traveling to the many antique tractor shows throughout Michigan and was a member of the Antique Tractor Club. He loved to Polka and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Richard also served in the United States Army during the Korean Era. Richard is survived by his wife of 54 years, Frances of White Cloud; his children, Cindy (Clark) Rhine of Ravenna; Allen (Beverly) Eichenberg of Mossy Head, Florida; Mike (Joan) Eichenberg of Muskegon; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; his brother, Roger (Diane) Eichenberg of Barryton; his sisters-in-laws, Norma Eichenberg of White Cloud; Beth Eichenberg of Flushing; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Howard and Jim. VISITATION : Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Wednesday at 1pm at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. INTERMENT : Sherman Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
