Richard Lee Hopkins, 63, of Bella Vista, Missouri, formerly of Fremont, Michigan, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at his residence. Rich was born September 17, 1954 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, the son of Ruth Elaine King and Charles Hollis Hopkins. He had been involved in the banking industry for many years where he was a banker. Rich loved Jesus, Michigan sports, playing baseball with his grandson, fishing, hunting, and drinking good beer. Richard is survived by one son, Eric Hopkins and his wife Chandrika, of Oman; three daughters: Erin Hopkins of Pineville, Missouri; Alissa Larkin and her husband Dana of Bella Vista; Missouri; Kyra Pantall and her husband Jonathan of Rogers, Missouri; three brothers: Duane Hopkins and his wife Deb of Fremont, Michigan; Mike Hopkins and his wife Michelle of Fremont, Michigan; Terry Hopkins, of Fremont, Michigan; one sister, Marian Chilcote and her husband Dave of Twin Lake, Michigan; six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Rich was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Hollis Hopkins on February 19, 1995, and Ruth Hopkins on January 9th, 2008; two siblings, Charles Scott Hopkins on October 5th 2009, and Jerry Hopkins on August 18, 1999. A celebration of life will be held at the on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 12-3pm at the Fremont Moose Lodge to remember and celebrate Rich's life.
