Liebing, Richard Charles Richard Charles Liebing, age 82 of Fremont, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2005 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont following a long illness with Alzheimers disease. Richard was born on June 23, 1922 in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan to Carl Albert and Johanna Anna (Schubert) Liebing and later met and married Roberta Holmes on April 3, 1970 in Fremont. He had been a supervisor at the Gerber Products Company in the quality control department for many years until his retirement in 1987. Richard was a veteran of World War II where he served in the United States Army Air Corps. He was a life member of the National Environmental Association; member of the Hesperia American Legion; and the Supervisors Club at Gerber Products. He is survived by his loving wife, Roberta of Fremont; his children, John (Patti) Liebing of Hesperia; Lonnie Liebing of California; Troy Liebing of Fremont; 1 brother, Phil (Ellie) Liebing of Muskegon; 1 sister, Lydia (John) Baron of Hesperia; brothers and sisters-in-laws, George & Lucy Cordts of Fremont; Bill & Linda Holmes of Fremont; Norma Goodwin of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; several nieces and nephews. 2 special friends, Art Luchie and Bob Bradley, who even after Richards Alzheimers disease took control of his mind and body, still picked Richard up twice a week for breakfast. Art took Richard to coffee and for rides several times a week. Richard would call Art his ole golfing buddy Funeral memorial graveside services were held on Friday, May 13, 2005 at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont following cremation with Pastor Lucky Fulton of the Amazing Grace Acres Church presiding.
