Richard E. Mosher, age 90 of Newaygo, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the Newaygo Medical Facility in Fremont. Richard was born on July 12, 1925 in Newaygo to Arthur and Joyce (Wright) Mosher and later joined the United States Army and was honorable discharged after an injury during training. Richard returned to Newaygo and married Anne Lillian Martin on October 23, 1943 in Newaygo and Ann preceded him in death on July 13, 2013. Richard had been a mechanic at Gilliland Transfer Company in Fremont for many years until his retirement and enjoyed working on antique cars and woodworking at his home. Richard also enjoyed walking in the woods and cutting wood. Richard is survived by his children, Anna (George) Passage of Newaygo; Linda (Larry) Mateer of Florida; Mike Mosher of Newaygo; Howard Mosher of Newaygo; several grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; his brother, Arthur Mosher of Florida. Private family services will be held in the spring following Richards wishes for cremation. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the Newaygo V.F.W.
