Richard Dick N. Stacey Sr., age 76 of Fremont, passed away Friday, October 8, 2004 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. He was born on January 22, 1928 in Detroit to Norman J. and Rhea (Beesley) Stacey and later married Elizabeth Martin on April 24, 1948 in Detroit. Dick started work at General Motors in the Detroit area and was transferred to Colorado and later moved back to Fremont in 1967. He started his auto dealership in Fremont in 1967 and after many years in auto sales retired from Fremont Auto Sales. Dick enjoyed water and snow skiing; the fellowship of the Birch Run Society round table group; and was a former member of the Fremont VFW, Laurels Post #6898. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served during World War II and was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont. He is survived by is wife, Elizabeth Bettie Stacey of Fremont; Rick Stacey of Fremont; Susan (Jim) Cioffi of Fremont; his grandchildren, Daniel Stacey; Melanie (Tim) Hutchinson; Steffanie (Ryan) Brant; Monica Stacey; Rich Korstange; Todd Korstange; his great grandchildren, Kendra Stacey; Lauren Hutchinson; his sister, Shirley (Charles) Lents of Brighton, Michigan. Funeral Mass Services were held on Tuesday, October 12, 2004 from the All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont with Rev. Father Tony Russo presiding with interment in the Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Friends may consider the All Saints Catholic Church Building Fund or the American Heart Association for memorial contributions in memory of Dick.
