Richard Lee Pierce, age 93, of White Cloud passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at his home. Richard was born on October 7, 1922, in Battle Creek, Michigan and married Chloe G. Gibson on May 17, 1977 in Manhattan Beach, California. Richard worked at North American Aviation in Los Angeles, California for over 35 years and was an avid cyclist, biking well into his 70s. Richard proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII. Richard is survived by his wife Chloe; children, Michael (Carol) Pierce of White Cloud, and Paula Upham of Mesa, Arizona; step-children, John Gibson of Idaho and Bill Gibson of New Zealand; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Military services and interment will be given in honor of Richards service to his Country at 1:30 PM on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
