The greatest distance can not seperate Best friends. Best friends mean different things to different people. And you had many of those. You were there with Jimmy when you were teens and for us when we were in our accident being cut out of my car, you were there watching Jimmy's back and the backs of Tommy, Pollock, Louie and Kevin at the Rat and many other places. We have tossed many quarters around over the years. We will cherish your friendship forever Rick Putt. I can't even begin to write what all you have meant to us throughout the years. BUT, you already knew, it doesn't have to be written or even said. Sincerely your family Jimmy, Ninajo and Emily Wallace Posted 5/14/2010 It is with such heavy hearts that we bid our Putt farewell, and 'see you later'. He was undeniably one of the best people in our lives, and we will always remember the constant twinkling eyes, especially when he, more often that not, zinged you with a great 'one-liner' ! Rest easy now, our friend, and know that we will always cherish our times together. In the great words of Neil Young: Long may you run Long may you run Although these changes have come, with your chrome heart shining in the sun Long may you run We love you, Holly & Lyle Posted 5/14/2010 Heavy hearts, some even broken! I cannot even imagine life without your Smiling face, wonderful personality, kindness and concern for others wellbeing. I didn't know you that well but whenever our paths crossed you were all of the above, you always had a smile on your face! God must have needed you in heaven to help him. You will be greatly missed but Loved by everyone's heart that you have ever touched here on earth. Sincerely Dave and Carol Anderson Posted 5/15/2010 My heart is sadden by Ricks passing. I have hope that someday they will find a cure. Words will not convey the feelings or thoughts of such a wonderful man that God put on this earth to be intertwined into our lives. May friends and family gather to honor such a fighter, friend, giving person. Rest in peace Putter. We will be with you another time when we will be whole and pain free. Peace and comfort to all, rely on each other no matter how small or big. Cindie Hayward-Simmonds Georgia Posted 5/15/2010 You were a great friend to all whom you knew. You didn't just pick one or two you showed your love to all whom were around you. You were great at everything you did and you always was there to help someone. I will never forget when you lived by us. You were a great neighbor and the boys loved coming over and chatting with you. You never told on them when you saw them doing something they weren't suppose too. Sorry that we didn't keep in touch but lives do go seperate ways. Thanks for being a great friend and old neighbor to us. Now you are still watching over us and riding that bike with no pain. We will never forget you, Keith and Dawn Stroven. Posted 5/16/2010 will miss you bud. Roger Newman Posted 5/18/2010 I have known Putt for many years and I am very glad to have met him. He was a one of a kind person willing to help anyone who needed it. I just wanted to share a time when we all went on a bike run and he proceeded to have 20-30 motorcycles go down what felt like 7 miles of dirt road. On a 90* day dust flying all over and only going maybe 5miles hr. (Was only 2-3 miles). All we could do is laugh. He did make the statement we could all turn around and go back. Ha ha. Thats just the kind of guy I will always remember. He will missed by all of us. We all love you putt keep riding safe. We will all see you agene someday. Melissa Kersting
