Richard James Warfield, age 78 of Newaygo, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2008 at his home in Newaygo. Richard was born on March 23, 1929 in Grand Rapids and has been a resident of the Newaygo area for the past 3 years and a longtime resident of the West Michigan area. Richard had been a farmer and handyman for many years and served in the United States Army during World War II. Richard is survived by his children, Amanda Warfield (Jerry Ellsey) of Lansing; Richelle Furman (Vince Rennells) of Muskegon; Nathaniel Warfield of Grand Rapids; son-in-law, Mark Furman of Newaygo; his grandchildren, Cheyenne Warfield; Stephaun Benham; Samantha Benham; Isaac Warfield; his brother, Donald (Colleen) Warfield of Vickeryville, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria and by his brothers, Stanley Warfield and Roger Warfield.
