Rickey L. Buttleman, age 59 of White Cloud, passed away Monday, June 29, 2015 at his home. Rickey was born on January 1, 1956 in Fremont and has been a lifelong resident of the area. Rickey had worked at Salmon Run Campground for 22 years as custodian and campground manager. Rickey also had been a driver for the Department of Human Services, Commission on Aging and school bus driver for the Newaygo Public Schools. He enjoyed shooting guns, collecting knives, watching western movies, deer hunting and fishing and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Rickey is survived by his wife, Wanda Buttleman of White Cloud; his children, Billy Thomas of Colorado; Brandy Wood of Newaygo; Rickey LaBelle of White Cloud; Shantel LaBelle of Tennessee; Brian Thomas of Arkansas; Bruce Thomas of Croton; Nathaniel LaBelle of White Cloud; Amy Perkins of Grant; Daniel Buttleman of White Cloud; Joshua Buttleman of Midland; his mother, Ellen Buttleman of White Cloud; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Roxanne Buttleman of Muskegon; Chrisandra Wolters of Texas; Renee (Delmar) Frees of White Cloud; Sheri (Tom) Bunker of Grant; Marilyn Wolters of Walkerville; John (Bonnie) Buttleman of White Cloud; James Buttleman of White Cloud; Alice (Tom) Maike of White Cloud; Mary Brown of Fremont; many nieces, nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack L. Buttleman; mother, Olive M. Cushman; daughter, Judy; brother, Marvin Wolters. A time of celebration and time of remembrance of Rickey's life will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 1pm – 4pm at the Salmon Run Campground. Friends are asked to bring a dish to pass for the potluck and their own beverages. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the Rickey Buttleman family to assist with expenses.
