Ricky Ray Berg, age 64 of Grant passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at his home following a long illness. Ricky was born on July 14, 1948 in Bexar County, Texas to Minard and Beverly Ann (Beardsley) Berg and later married Deborah Glabais on February 23, 2007 in Grant. Rick has been a resident of the Grant area since 1986 where he started as the property manager of Lake Forest Mobile Home Park in Grant and later became owner and manager of the Lake Forest Mobile Home Park. Rick enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle, vintage cars, antiques, and visiting with friends and family. Ricky is survived by his wife, Deborah of Grant; step-children, Anne (Malcolm) McBride of Ontario and Dawn Malloch of Ontario; his grandchildren, Nadine McBride, Nathan McBride, and Malloch Bathish; brother and sisters, Michael (Vicki) Berg of Muskegon; Julie Thompson of Fruitport; Cindy Berg of Fruitport; Kris (Sandy Gross) Berg of California; Audrey (John) Stillson of Grand Haven; Sally Ingersoll of Fruitport; Ruth Ann (David) Nelson of Nuncia; several nieces and nephews. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Minard and Beverly. There will be a time of gathering and celebration to celebrate Ricks life on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Lake Forest Park in Grant. Friends may consider the Low Cost Spay/Neuter Program at Lake Haven Rescue for memorial contributions in memory of Rick.
