Ricky J. Burgess, age 59 of White Cloud, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at his home. Rick was born on May 5, 1952 in Warren, Michigan to James and Norma (Turner) Burgess. Rick joined the United States Air Force and served in the K-9 Corps during the Vietnam Era. Follow his return to the United States after his military services, started work at Speas Juice Company and later Sundor in Fremont. Rick later started work at Lear Corporation as a machine operator. Rick loved fishing, animals and watching movies. Rick is survived by his children, Amy (Micah) Fate of Afton, Michigan; Kimberly Burgess of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Tony Derks of White Cloud; Jillisa Derks of White Cloud; Ricky J. Burgess of White Cloud; his mother, Norma Beckett of White Cloud; 9 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Mike (Deborah) Burgess of Grand Rapids; Tim (Wendy) Beckett of Belmont; Kimber (Gary) Vanderwood of Monroe, Michigan; Tammy (Brad) Moore of South Carolina; Dan (Cheryl) Beckett of Ada; several nieces and nephews. Rick was preceded in death by his fathers, James Burgess and Donald Beckett. VISITATION : Friday, June 17, 2011 from 12-1pm at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. FUNERAL MEMORIAL SERVICES : Friday, June 17, 2011 at 1pm at the funeral home. INTERMENT : Goodwell Township Cemetery.
