Robert J. Brown, age 90 of Hesperia, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at his home following a lingering illness. Robert was born on November 8, 1925 in Carlton, MI to Foster and Pearl (Beatty) Brown and later married Donna L. Fairchild on March 22, 1947 in Muskegon County. Donna preceded him in death on April 9, 1998. Robert had been an electrician for many years and retired at the age of 62. Robert was a veteran of WW II where he served in the US Army and was a charter member of the Hesperia American Legion and member of the V.F.W. Robert was a member of the Hesperia Presbyterian Church and enjoyed working in his yard, gardening and woodworking. Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be truly missed by all his family. Robert is survived by his children, Dennis Brown of Fruitport; Barb (Mike) Conley of Hesperia; Larry Brown of Hesperia; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; his brother, Junior Brown; MEMORIAL SERVICES : Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 11am at the Hesperia Presbyterian Church (82 Church Street Hesperia MI 49421). INTERMENT : West Hesperia Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Hesperia Presbyterian Church or Harbor Hospice.
