Buck, Robert J. Robert J. Buck, age 68 of Newaygo, formerly of Potterville, passed away Monday, January 12, 2004 at his home. He was born on September 3, 1935 in Potterville , Michigan to Homer A. and Olive (Stewart) Buck and married Kathryn Ostrom on December 17, 1955 in Lansing . Kathryn preceded him in death on September 17, 1989 . Robert had worked at Cadwell Brothers Excavating in Grand Ledge as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement in January 1998. He was a veteran of Post Korean Era where he served in the United States Army. He enjoyed collecting cars, tractor pulling and boating. He is survived by his children, Marline Foster of Lansing; Sheally (Victor) Prado of Eaton Rapids; James Buck of Woodland, MI; Dorothy Morris of Lansing; Lorna (Alan) Peake of Charlotte; grandchildren, Steven (Sarah) Foster, Michael Foster, Andrew Buck; Jennifer Page, Kathryn Page; Michael Morris; Mercedes Morris; his brother, John Buck of Lansing; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Phyllis VanAlstine & Edith Wright and brother, Homer Buck Jr. Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 17, 2004 from the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with interment in the Newaygo Cemetery .
