Corlew Jr., Robert C. Robert C. Corlew Jr., age 69 of Newaygo, formerly of Kentwood, passed away Sunday at the Spectrum Health Blodgett Campus in Grand Rapids. Bob was born on May 12, 1938 in Girard, MI to Robert C. and Mildred V. (Weakly) Corlew Sr. and later married A. Katherine Conners in 1960 in Howard City. Bob has been a resident of the Newaygo area since 1992 when he moved from Kentwood. Bob had been a truck driver for the 30 year with Dean Foods, PepsiCo Corporation, Hyman Trucking and retired in 2000 from Parker Motorfrieght. Bob served in the United States Navy during the Korean Era and was a member of the Croton American Legion, Post #381. He was also a 32 degree Blue Lodge Mason and a member of the Grand River Masonic Lodge. Bob was an avid boater, enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kay of Newaygo; his son, John Corlew of Newaygo; sister, Barbara (Richard) Little of Sault Saint Marie, MI; sisters & brothers-in-laws, Lucille Aris; Martha (Earl) Smith; Violet (Harold) Buckles; Richard (Jeannine) Conners; Danny (Joyce) Conners; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Bryan L. Corlew on Jan. 24, 1995 and by his brother, Bill Corlew. Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 17, 2007 from the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with Rev. Arnold Guikema of the Big Prairie Community Church presiding with interment in the Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery.
