Robert "Bob" De Green Jr., age 78, of White Cloud passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at Spectrum Health Services – Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Bob was born on September 20, 1941, in Grand Rapids to Robert and Stephanie Barbara (Makarwitz) De Green Sr. and married Ruth Lynn Dustin on September 12, 1964, at St. Roberts Catholic Church in Ada. Bob had been a driver for Arrow Uniform Company in Grand Rapids for 35 years until his retirement. Bob and Ruth enjoyed spending the winter months in Arizona and taking hikes together. He also enjoyed trap shooting, golf, hunting, fishing, and bird watching. Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud, and St. Ann Catholic Church in Tubac, Arizona. Bob is survived by his loving wife Ruth; sister-in-law, Darlene De Green of Greenville; niece, Barb De Green; nephew, Rick De Green; and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his brother, Richard Allen De Green. There are six very important people that have adopted Ruth and Bob as family and Bob wanted Sarah Williams, Laura Ash, Harry Stannard, Matt Bleiler, Marissa Sanchez, and Jamie Hamilton to know how much they are loved. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 AM on Friday, July 10, 2020, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church Family Center with Father Steven Geerling officiating. There will be visitation one hour prior to the Mass. Due to health restrictions, attendance will be limited and face masks are recommended. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in White Cloud. For a more lasting memorial friends are asked to consider the St. Joseph Catholic Church Flower Fund.
