It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert G. Dickerson, who left this world on Tuesday, January 7th, 2025, just days shy of his 82nd birthday. Born on a winter day in Greenfield, Tennessee, on January 15th, 1943, Robert eventually made his home in White Cloud, Michigan, where he lived a life full of love, hard work, and family.

A devoted husband and proud father, Robert is survived by his beloved spouse of 62 years, Nancy A. Dickerson. He leaves behind a legacy through his children: William T. Dickerson, Robert G. (Shirleen) Dickerson, Michael J. (Ricky) Dickerson, and Timothy S. (Melanie) Dickerson. His family extends to include his siblings; Ronald L. (Kathy) Dickerson, Marilyn D. (Mike) Resko and Lana S. Baggs, and Charles E. (Carol) Dickerson. Robert was blessed with five grandchildren: Amy, Zachary, Kara, Gage, and Haden, who brought immense joy to his life. He also cherished his great-grandchildren, Theo, Ellie, Alex, Tony, and Jude, along with several nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart. Preceding him in death were his father, William E. Dickerson, his mother, Letha B. (Cupples) Dickerson, and his brother, Gary W. Dickerson.

Throughout his life, Robert worked as a construction laborer with J.P. Phillips in Chicago until his retirement in 1999. Known for his incredible work ethic, he was a man who kept his family running smoothly through times of challenge and ease. In retirement, Robert enjoyed the simple pleasures of life fishing, hunting, and tinkering hobbies that reflected his appreciation for the outdoors and a well-tuned engine. Retirement was a time he cherished, where he could truly appreciate the fruits of his labor and spend cherished moments with his family.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Crandell Funeral Home - Fremont Chapel.
