Robert L. Ferrier, age 83 of White Cloud and Bitely, passed away Friday, December 16, 2011 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Robert was born on November 29, 1928 in Dowagiac, Michigan to Eugene and Hazel (Lilly) Ferrier and later married Pearl Ibbotson in 1980 in Eau Claire, Michigan. Robert had been a maintenance worker for the City of Dowagiac for several years and retired to the White Cloud and Bitely area. Robert enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and collecting elephant figurines, toy cars and truck, and playing cards. Robert is survived by his wife, Pearl of White Cloud; his children, Robert (Julie) Dayhuff of Indianapolis, Indiana; Louis (Tammy) Dayhuff of Grand Rapids; Melvin Dayhuff of Decatur; Dan Dayhuff of Grand Rapids; Vicki Dayhuff of Dowagiac; Kelly Ferrier of Dowagiac; Barbara Dayhuff; several grandchildren; his sister and brothers, Barbara Vinn; Raymond Ferrier; Melvin Ferrier; Eugene Ferrier; Victor Ferrier; William Ferrier; several nieces and nephews; his caregiver, Lorita Fernanders of White Cloud; his best friends and card playing partners, Joyce and Elliott Stewart of Muskegon. Robert was preceded in death by his brothers, Daniel, Donald, Carl, and Larry. VISITATION : Monday, December 19, 2011 from 1-2pm at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Monday, December 19, 2011 at 2pm at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. INTERMENT : Troy Township Cemetery.
