Robert E. Fowler, age 78 of Grant, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at his daughter's home following a decline in his health.  Robert was born on November 27, 1945 in Grant to William Owen and Clara Elizabeth (Kempton) Fowler and later married Sheryl Ruth Webster on October 17, 1964 in White Cloud.  Sheryl preceded him in death on April 29, 2021.  Robert has been a lifelong resident of the Grant area and had been a pattern maker at Seaway Pattern and later retired from Anderson Pattern in Muskegon.  Robert had enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, playing cards with family, attending car races, pitching horseshoes and listening to Detroit Tigers baseball on the radio.  Robert enjoyed working in his woodworking shop and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his children,  Denise (Jeff) Hawkins of Grant; Kim (Ron) Hedum of Grant; Gordon (Kristi) Fowler of Grant; his dog, Sophie of Grant; grandchildren, Nathan (Sandra) Hawkins; Jessica (Kirk) Damic; Rachael (Jon) Osborne; Courtney (Justin) Swartz; Ali (fiancé, Trent) Hedum; Luke Hedum; Katelyn Fowler; Kendra Fowler; Kaycee Fowler; his great grandchildren, Jude and Piper O'Regan; Malachi, Koren, Elihu, Yashavel, and Sitrah Swartz; Ian Damic; his sisters, Janet Jones, Martha Hicks, Keitha Loomis; special sister and brother-in-law, Vivian and Ray Wawsczyk of White Cloud; several nieces and nephews.  Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Sheryl; his brothers and sisters, Tom Fowler, Joe Fowler, Eloda Dorn, Nora Houston.

VISITATION : Sunday, February 11, 2024 from 1-2pm at Reeman Christian Reformed Church 6121 S. Fitzgerald Fremont MI 49412.  MEMORIAL SERVICES : Sunday, February 11, 2024 at 2pm at the Reeman Christian Reformed Church.  Time of Luncheon and fellowship to follow the services.  Interment will be in the Bridgeton Township Cemetery in the spring of 2024.  MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Pound Buddies Animal Shelter and Adoption Center 3279 E.
