Robert L. Hoaglin, age 43 of Bitely, formerly of St. Johns and Springport/Albion, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Robert was born on April 28, 1976 in Jackson to Charles Lawrence and Lynn Diane (Scheesley) Hoaglin and graduated from Springport High School in 1994. Robert married Amber Lynn Ellis in August 2002 and Amber preceded him in death on May 16, 2019. Robert worked as a truck driver for several years and later worked at Bridgewater Interiors where he became a Union Representative and was a proud member of the UAW. After leaving Bridgewater Interiors, Robert became a stay at home dad. He enjoyed hunting and shooting, collecting guns and knives, fishing and socializing with friends at Woody's. Robert is survived by his children, Dakota Hoaglin of St. John's; Marcus Hoaglin of Bitely; Timothy Hoaglin of Bitely; his sister, Lynnette (Dan) Nortley of Jackson; his "mom & dad", Bruce & Jo Gage of Spartanburg, South Carolina; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Edward "Eli" and Wanda Kay Ellis of Bitely; his girlfriend, Heidi Bromley of Hart; his uncle, Harold Hoaglin and his aunt, Coramae Couples; several sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Amber Lynn and by his parents, Chuck and Lynn. Celebration of Life Services will be held at a later date in the Albion area following Robert's wishes for cremation.
