Robert J. Lascko, age 83 of Holton, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. Bob was born on May 22, 1938 in Muskegon to Julius and Jeannette (Wolski) Lascko and graduated from Muskegon Heights High School and then later attended Western Michigan University. Bob later married Pam Monette on October 16, 1965 in Brunswick and has been a lifelong resident of the area. Bob had been the co-owner of Port City Mechanical Contractors and a partner in L.H.R. Properties Inc. until his retirement. Bob was a member of the St. Michael Catholic Church in Brunswick and had served in the United States Air Force Reserves. Bob was a member of the Twin Lake Gun Club and Seaway Gun Club where he was an accomplished trap shooter and gunsmith and built and repaired guns. He was an adventurer and big game hunter as well and made 4 hunting trips to Africa with his wife throughout the years. Bob had a "true grit" personality and was a problem solver in life. He never lost the love to learn and was a mentor to many in the community by sharing his knowledge with others. He truly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, teaching them to respect and appreciate wildlife and nature. Bob is survived by his wife of 55 years, Pam (Monette) of Holton; his children, Brett (Lorie) Lascko of Holton; Amy (Mike) Dorato of Grand Rapids; his grandchildren and great granddaughter, Taylor(Lance) Marczak of Baltimore, Maryland and their daughter, Elika Lascko Marczak; Kendall Lascko of Baltimore, Maryland; Robert Dorato of Grand Rapids; Nicholas Dorato of Grand Rapids; Emily Dorato of Grand Rapids; his niece, Mary (Dave) Mapes of Grand Rapids; nephew, Michael (Christine) Vonk of Virginia; several sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-law. He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Vonk.
