Robert William McDonald, age 64, of Fremont passed away on January 4, 2016, at his home. Bob was born on November 28, 1951, in Grand Haven to James Alfred and Violet Mae (Kenyon) McDonald and married Deborah Ann Cook on June 13, 1979 in Grant. Bob worked at Linear Osco in Casnovia for many years. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, being outdoors, puzzles, and baking his famous cookies. Bob is survived by his wife, Deborah; children, Nicholas Nick William (MaryBeth) McDonald of Fremont, Bobby Joe McDonald of Fremont, and Stacey Elaine McDonald of Fremont; grandchildren, Kylee Rae, Braiden, Jordon, and Travis; step-grandchildren, Tristan, Gavin, and Alynna; brothers and sister, Larry (Debra) McDonald of Grant, Annie Cale of Grant, Rusty McDonald of Grand Rapids, Pete (Nita) McDonald of Grant, and Joe Kenyon of Grant. He was preceded in death by his brother James McDonald Jr. and sister Susan Mercer. There will be a Celebration of Life for Bob starting at 11 AM at the Rice Lake Baptist Church (10793 Spruce Ave) in Grant on Friday, January 8, 2016.
