Robert Bob A. Owens, age 70 of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at his home. Bob was born on June 15, 1939 in Manchester, England to Jack and Elizabeth (Bennett) Owens and later married Moira Murdoch on June 24, 1961 in Manchester, England. Bob had worked for the Gerber Products Company in the International Research Department in Niagara Falls, Canada and later transferred to the Fremont Office in 1992 until his retirement in 2007. Bob enjoyed golfing, tinkering at his home, remodeling homes and was a member of the Fremont Moose Lodge #1555.\ Bob is survived by his wife of 48 years, Moira of Fremont; his children, Robert Owens (special friend, Rose) of Niagara Falls, Canada; John (Sandi) Owens of Niagara Falls, Canada; Amy (Trost) Langley of Hesperia; his grandchildren, Brittany, Samantha, J.J., Alexandra, Luke; his twin brother, William J. Owens of Manchester, England; his brother, David (Jane) Owens of France; his sisters, Betty (Derek) Hyde of Manchester, England; Ann Smith of Sydney, Australia. Bob was preceded in death by his son, Gary in 1972. MEMORIAL SERVICES : Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 5pm at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel.
