Robert L. Peterson, age 78 of Dearborn Heights and formerly of Woodville, passed away Friday, August 4, 2000 at the Oakland Heritage Hospital in Taylor. He was born on April 16, 1922 in Woodville to Hardy W. and Reka (VanAssen) Peterson and had worked for National Lead for 35 years as a salesman and later at Ford Motor Company. He had been a resident of the Dearborn Heights area for the past 40 years. He is survived by his brothers, Glen (Joan) Peterson of Newaygo; Edward H. (Vivian) Peterson of Coopersville; sister, Marian Della Newland of Birch Run; special friend, Mary Barton of Dearborn; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 12, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. from the Woodville Community Church with Pastor Foster Brummel presiding with interment in the Woodville Cemetery.
