Robert G. Rogers, age 54 of White Cloud, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at his home. Bob was born on November 10, 1956 in Fremont to Albert J. and Ann (Kalvaitis) Rogers and has been a lifelong resident of the Newaygo County area. Bob graduated from Fremont High School in 1974 and later joined the United States Marine Corps where he served as sergeant and aircraft mechanic. Bob was the founder of Last Chance Motorcycles in White Cloud which he started in 1993 and continued to operated until his passing. Bob enjoyed working on and riding his motorcycle and was currently serving as ABATE of Michigan, Region 5 Coordinator. Bob is survived by his son, Christopher Rogers (fianc, Theresa) of White Cloud; his brother, John Rogers of Newaygo; his sister, Carole Rogers of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; his step brother, Duane Rogers of Watersmeet, Michigan1 uncle and many cousins. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 2pm at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with a time of gathering starting at 1pm at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Sherman Township Cemetery following cremation. Friends may consider memorial contributions to ABATE, Region 5 for memorial contributions in memory of Bob.
