Robert J. Smith, age 52 of White Cloud, passed away Friday, April 3, 2009, at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. He was born on October 9, 1956 in Benton Harbor to Neal and Esther (Timmons) Smith and had worked in the Benton Harbor School Systems prior to his military service. Robert loved his animals and was an Army veteran. He is survived by his daughter, Jody Cox of Hartford; 3 grandchildren, Kyle & Sierra Gilson , and Cody Reese; mother, Esther Lawrence; father, Neal Smith; brother, Arthur Smith; sisters, Nancy and Bonnie; and dear friend Sandra Blodgett.
